Asia Scudder

Through my sculpture I explore the interplay between form and space.

My smaller wire sculpture works inform larger steel installations.

With its ability to bend and curve, wire inspires a unique dialogue between the heavier steel material suitable for outdoors.

by Asia Scudder

I have dedicated over 25 years to the cultivation of my artistic visual language, harnessing the expressive potential of both wire and steel to convey ideas through my art.

My artistic journey is guided by thorough research, which has not only shaped the development of my creative perspective but also enriched the depth of my work.

With an extensive exhibition history, the receipt of multiple grants and awards, and a lifelong commitment to my studio practice, a significant milestone in my career was the honor of presenting my art at the renowned Venice Biennale.

My artistic endeavors have transcended borders, finding homes in the collections of patrons in the United States, London, France, and Denmark.
